board & train programs
Immersive training for busy owners who want a strong foundation built fast.
Let’s be honest, training your dog on your own can feel like a full-time job. (And last we checked, you probably already have one.) That’s why our board and train programs are such a game-changer.
Your dog stays in a loving home environment: my home, not some noisy kennel and gets multiple daily training sessions, real-world exposure, and personalized care. You get faster results, less stress, and a calmer, more reliable dog at the end of it all.
-
You want real results — not just a dog that behaves in a training bubble, but one that listens in your actual life. That’s why our program is built to go beyond the basics and create lasting change in a way that’s doable for you.
During your dog’s stay, here’s what sets us apart:
Faster results: Your dog trains with a professional multiple times a day — consistent practice means quicker progress and real behavior change that sticks
Save time and sanity: We take care of the time-consuming foundation work so you’re not stuck doing hours of reps and redirection
In-home comfort: Your dog becomes part of the pack in a calm, structured home — not a chaotic kennel facility
Real-world results: Training happens where it matters most — on neighborhood walks, out in public, during meals, and around guests
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all bootcamp. It’s thoughtful, personalized, and designed to help your dog succeed in your everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I use a balanced training approach, which simply means I teach dogs what to do using positive reinforcement and clear communication, and I also help them understand which behaviors are not okay through fair, humane corrections.
This method allows dogs to learn not just obedience, but how to make good choices on their own, which is key for creating calm, confident, real-world-ready dogs.
I’m not about one-size-fits-all methods. I’m about giving dogs and their owners the structure, tools, and support they need to actually live better together.
Whether I’m using treats, leash pressure, or E-Collar guidance, it’s always done with intention, clarity, and compassion. My goal is to help both ends of the leash feel more connected, capable, and calm.
Balanced training means rewarding your dog when they’re doing something right and providing guidance when they’re missing the mark. This balanced approach ensures your dog understands expectations, builds confidence, and develops good habits.
The key to success lies in empowering dog owners with the skills and knowledge needed to maintain leadership, trust, and consistency at home. By working together, we can help your dog thrive and become a well-behaved companion you can take everywhere with confidence.
-
100%, yes, I do! Positive reinforcement is a huge part of how I teach dogs. We use food, praise, play, and real-life rewards to build engagement, teach new behaviors, and motivate dogs to want to work with us.
That said, I don’t rely on only positive reinforcement, because real life doesn’t work that way and most of the dogs I work with need more than just “good job” to make lasting changes. I use a balanced training approach, which means I also teach boundaries and help dogs understand when a behavior isn’t okay.
It’s not about punishing dogs, it’s about giving them clear communication, so they know what’s expected and how to succeed. That’s what creates calm, confident, well-behaved dogs who can handle the real world.
So yes, positive reinforcement is absolutely in the mix. It's just not the only tool in the toolbox.
-
I use a variety of tools, and which ones we use depends on your dog, your goals, and what’s going to help you both succeed. Some of the tools I commonly use include:
Food rewards and markers (positive reinforcement basics!)
Slip leads and prong collars for clear leash communication
E-Collars (low-level remote collars, not “shock collars”) for reliable off-leash recall and behavior proofing
Crates for structure, calmness, and potty training
Place cots for building impulse control and helping dogs learn to settle
Every tool I use is introduced thoughtfully, humanely, and with your dog’s comfort and clarity in mind. Tools aren’t shortcuts or punishments, they’re communication devices that help dogs understand what we’re asking in a way that makes sense to them.
If you’ve never used these tools before, no worries! I’ll teach you how to use them properly so both you and your dog feel confident and successful.
-
First off, totally fair question. And here’s the honest answer: I can’t guarantee specific results, because dogs (like people!) are individuals. What I can guarantee is that you’ll get 100% of my effort, support, and guidance throughout the entire process.
That said, most clients do get results they’re thrilled with, because we set clear goals, build consistent structure, and I make sure you’re never left wondering, “What now?”.
If something isn’t working, we adjust. If your dog hits a roadblock, we troubleshoot. If you ever feel stuck, I’m here with follow-ups, lifetime support, and a game plan to keep you moving forward.
Bottom line: I’m not just here to train your dog, I’m here to coach and empower you so you feel confident handling whatever comes next.
-
Your dog will stay in my home, not a kennel or noisy boarding facility. This means they’ll be living as part of my daily routine, just like one of my own dogs. They’ll get real-world experience, structured downtime, and one-on-one attention in a calm, home environment designed specifically for training and relaxation.
We keep the program small (only a few dogs at a time) so your pup gets plenty of personalized care, structured training sessions, playtime, and yes, lots of love, too.
From crate time and meal routines to neighborhood walks and public outings, your dog will learn how to behave in everyday situations, because that’s where it really counts.
